    Just opened and still getting up to speed!

    Mouth-watering hot soups, flavourful sandwiches, crispy salads and moist, decadent pastries - hungry yet? These are just a few menu items on the list for the Alton Mill's brand new café, the Mill Run Eatery.

    A joint project of Chef Pam Fanjoy of the Friendly Chef Adventures and Chef Suman Roy of Wild Burger, the Millrun Eatery offers a changing variety of fresh local cuisine daily and a summer outdoor barbeque on the terrance between the Paul Morin Gallery and the waterfall.

    The two chefs will be artfully providing visitors to the Alton Mill with exceptional food to compliment the exceptional venue.This includes offering catering for weddings, corporate events, and private functions.  If you are a foodie, you won’t want to miss out on this culinary experience

    Owner of The Friendly Adventures Inc. and recent winner of Chopped Canada, chef Pam Fanjoy has travelled extensively to learn about culinary cultures around the world and is inspired by Latin ingredients, traditional French techniques and the freshness of Italian cooking.  She has studied alongside amazing chefs in Italy, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and the Caribbean.  During the summer of 2013, Pam studied alongside a Spanish, classically trained French Chef, Chef Santiago in Figeac, France.  Upon her return to Canada, she opened her retail kitchen store and 14-seat restaurant in Erin, Ontario where she also provides full service catering for rural weddings and special events.    

    With over 15 years experience as a renowned and creative Chef, Suman Roy’s career has taken him around the globe.  Suman held the position of the Corporate Executive Chef for Campbell's Soups for several years and is the author of the award winning book, "From Pemmican To Poutine - A Journey Through Canada's Culinary History.” He was awarded two international recognitions for his book - The Gourmand World Cookbook Award in Paris, France in 2010, and the Cordon D'Or Culinary Academy Award in Florida, United States in 2011. Suman was also Executive Chef of the Athlete's Village for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics serving up his delicious, healthy and culturally sensitive culinary styles to approx. 2,600 athletes from 82 nations participating in the games.
