This year it's time to give "different"! The artists of the Alton Mill Arts Centre invite you to give the gift of art. Find unique, handcrafted gifts by Alton Mill artists and guests. Shop small, buy local, and find unique gifts for the special people in your life!
We have three Holiday/ Christmas Markets that are up and running through this season. There is “Christmas in Caledon” in the Headwaters Art Gallery on the main floor of the Mill. This ‘gift shop’ style show features works by local photographers, fibre, pottery, glass & wood artists, painters and jewelry designers! The Headwaters Gallery is brimming with original works priced from below $200 to under $500. Perfect for gift giving!
We also have the Christmas Art Market located in studio 207 on the upper level of the Mill. The market features work by Alton Mill artists, including encaustic, acrylic and oil paintings, ceramic, glass and wood pieces. You will even spot a few beautiful Art Trees! All works are done in perfect ‘gift-able’ sizes, ideal for under the tree!
Lastly, the Noodle Gallery in Studio 216 presents "A Conspiracy of Love- Holiday Craft Market." Inspired by a quote from American essayist Hamilton Wright Mabie- "Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love"- the gallery is filled with unique and inspirational gift-giving ideas. Beautiful work by various artists, fine crafters and authors, including quirky wood paintings, charming stuffed animals (each with their own personality), paintings, fibre art, handmade mittens and ponchos and even furniture made from reclaimed materials!
