Alton Mill Arts Centre
Plan a visit and enjoy free refreshments, guided heritage tours, open studios and more.
Join us in creating a "Community Caterpillar" by painting a stone/piece of wood at home, or here on September 17 (available for purchase day of) to span the trail behind Alton Mill leading to the Millcroft Inn. Suitable for all ages and art styles!
Do you have a story or fond memory from the mill? We want to hear from you and provide a space for you to share your stories. This building has had so many chapters, and been such a wide variety of things to so many people since 1881. We ask for you to please take a moment and share a memory or a photo of what The Mill is, had been, or may become for you. Sit with the question: How did you meet the Mill and where has it taken you since?
Stories can be submitted in text or video, and any photographs or artifacts that are submitted will be on display in the Turbine Room Heritage Exhibit inside The Mill.
The fun doesn't stop there - Sunday, September 18th come out and view some beautiful classic cars from the Antique Classic Car Club of Canada- Brampton division! Why not also take a look at the juried art show taking place in all three galleries, and meet the artists during Open Studio hours.
