Headwaters Art Gallery

Headwaters Arts Gallery showcases eleven member artists’ who have created works that speak to what Canada is to them.

The 20+ artworks on exhibit depict each artists own expression or experience of a place, space or memory, unveiling on paper, canvas, through a camera lens or three dimensionally the diverse threads that contribute to the tapestry that is Canada. Bhavna Bhatnagar, Deb Menken, Iris Ranieri, Margaret McInally, Marion Plaunt, MaryLou Hurley, Nancy MacNabb, Pat Hertzberg, Rosalinde Baumgartner, Samantha Hurley and Suzanne Walsh have produced outstanding works in a variety of mediums including clay, photography, mixed mosaic media, glass mosaic, watercolour, acrylic and mixed media fibre.

Says acrylic painter Suzanne Walsh,”Canada is truly a world of natural wonders, and the Bruce Trail in Ontario is open to all with so much to offer. We truly live in a great nation.” And for MaryLou Hurley, glass/mosaic artist,“Much of my work is influenced by the great outdoors and the abundance of forests in Canada. Their diversity provides and unending source of inspiration.”
