Summer Botanicals Watercolour Workshop with CJ Shelton

COST:  $75 + HST per person

LOCATION: Studio #206, Upper Floor of the Alton Mill

 

Enjoy an afternoon of sipping tea and painting! Learn to create delightful little sketches of summer flowers using watercolour.and maybe even a little enhancement with pen & ink. This traditional art form of botanical painting was practiced by Victorian and Edwardian ladies during the dreamy, gentle days of summer.

 

You will be painting from live specimens to create your “studies” so each student is encouraged to bring a few flowers from their own gardens so that we have a nice selection to work with. All throughout CJ will guide you and provide all kinds of tips and tricks.

 

New students are welcome, even complete newbies who have never tried watercolour before! If you have taken sessions with CJ this one will build on your previous drawing or painting skills and add additional ones to your repertoire. Please bring any watercolour brushes or paints you currently have although supplies will be available for those who don’t have them. Paper and stretching boards will be supplied.
