  • About

David Reale is an industrial designer extraordinaire.  Working in the field for over thirty years, David has an extensive portfolio from designing one of the original Much Music Awards to working with the likes of Brian Gluckstein, one of the world’s top designers, to teaching at Toronto’s Humber College Industrial Design Program.  He has twice been nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and received an Award of Merit from the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario. This is all to name a few!

So, poco demente!  Its translation, “a little bit insane”!  David visited the Alton Mill not long ago and was awe-struck by the building, its artists and spirit within the Mill.  Shortly after that he stepped down from his position at Reale Born Inc. and threw himself into designing for an inagural show Poco Demente .  From his sculptural “Potted Plant” chair in mirror polished aluminum to his 4 metre outdoor sculpture made of Corten and stainless steel, David’s unique perspective allows one to view his creations through his eyes!

The reaction to Poco Demente was so positive, David has decided to move on to a longer-term presence in studio 207 at the mill. Look for it to be populated with a broad array of new and unique creations over the next month.
