About
Lavinia Voicu holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD U, Toronto (Drawing & Painting/ Art History).
Voicu's works are expression of emotional sensitivity to life experiences as shapes and colors in her non-objective paintings follow a train of thought deeply rooted in her quest for the spirit of things and phenomena of life.
"Two aspects excite me the most: the search for significant form and the performative aspect of applying the paint."
She works in oil and acrylic on canvas and experiments with photography and mixed media.
Lavinia Voicu is the recepient of Elisabeth Blackstock Award, given in recognition of excellence in Drawing & Painting.
